ELENA CUTOLO
Elena Cutolo was born in Naples (Italy) in 1966. She studied architecture in Naples and Barcelona and she graduated in 1992. In 1993 she moved to Paris working for Reichen & Robert Studio Architecture.
Since 1998 she has been living in Milan where she began to collaborate with Sottsass & Associates for architectural projects. From 2002 to 2007 she worked with Ettore Sottsass being in charge of interior decoration projects, exhibition design and object and furniture design. In 2008 she opened her own studio in Milan. As a designer she works for Companies such as Morellato, Venini (Limited Editions), Glas Italia, Altreforme, Purho, Seletti and Bosa.
Her work has been shown at Macef (Homi-Milano), Maison & Objet-Paris, The Venice Glass Week, The Milan Furniture Fair (Cosmit-Milan), the Center 548 in New York, the Piasa in Paris, the Mic, International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, the International Gallery of Modern Art Ca’ Pesaro in Venice, the Glass Museum in Murano, Venice.
In 2016 she showed her work at the “W-Women in Italian Design”, the ninth edition of the Triennale Design Museum, during the XXI edition of the Esposizione Internazionale of the Triennale di Milano.
In 2017 she gave an oral speech at the symposium “Ettore Sottsass: il Vetro”, at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, in Venice.
