Damiano Spelta
Artist-experimenter who combines different materials and techniques, Damiano Spelta, born in Milan in 1966, merges art and design by reasoning on the contradictions of the contemporary world.
His object-works are the result of an approach that starts from the irony of an idea in true Dadaist style and which then takes shape in a provocation with the characteristics of Pop Art in order to transform the obvious into something unexpected. A wristwatch that becomes a seat, a fishing rod transformed into a floor lamp, a huge lipstick and a glass top come together to form a coffee table, these are just some of the works that Spelta has created and presented nationally and internationally during over twenty years of career.
