Winner of the rug design competition “Let The Rug Begin” 2023 in collaboration with the Istituto Marangoni Miami.

Maria Emslie is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in Fashion Design. Alongside earning an MA degree at Istituto Marangoni, she trained in Madrid with renowned muralist Johina Garcia Concheso. 

Based in London, her work encompasses mural art, painting, digital drawing, and tile design. With a focus on creating bespoke murals and immersive art spaces, she has worked with brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo and GAP, and completed projects in international locations, including the Edition Hotel Group in Madrid and Rome, Anna restaurant in Paris and Cannes and The Violet Hour bar in Chicago.

Maria’s art reflects her fascination with the tropics and saturated colour palettes, aiming to transform spaces into uniquely curated environments.
