Massimiliano Adami
He studied design at the Monza State Institute of Art and at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico of Milan.
From his debut in 1998 with the exhibition “The ghost of design” he has participated in various competitions and exhibitions, up to his successful participation in the Salone Satellite in 2005.
Thanks to experimentation with materials and production methods with a strong artisan content, his work is positioned between design and art, combining design activity with self-production.
His products have been exhibited at important design galleries, including Moss in New York, Philip de Pury in London, Rossana Orlandi and SubAlterno1 in Milan, Ottobarradieci in Bergamo.
He designed for companies such as Cappellini, Meritalia, Molteni Imbottiti, Refin Ceramiche, Serralunga, Zerodisegno and created special projects for Alcantara, Gruppo Fendi / DesignMiami and Poltrona Frau.
His Fossili Moderni were included in the Permanent Collection of the Design Museum in 2009, following the “Magma Fossile” exhibition at the Milan Triennale.
